8 ― 1．定義，原因，分類醒できず夜尿をしてしまう軽症の覚醒障害を原因とする病型である．IIa型NEは脳波上，覚醒反応が生じず，深い睡眠のまま夜尿をする重症の覚醒障害を原因とする病型である．IIb型NEは膀胱に生じる無抑制収縮を原因としたある種の下部尿路機能障害であり，このため深い睡眠のまま覚醒せずに夜尿をしてしまう51）．I型にはアラーム療法，IIa型にはアレルギー，精神的ショックなど原因がはっきりしているものでは抗アレルギー薬，精神療法などその原因に対する治療，それ以外には三環系抗うつ薬，IIb型には抗コリン薬が当時，推奨された51）． 二つの分類はともにNEの病態生理を考慮したものであるが，前者は覚醒障害が，後者は夜間多尿が考慮されていない． 1） American Psychiatric Association.
